There are 3 trash areas located on the property. All household trash must be tied in plastic bags and MUST BE PLACED NEATLY INSIDE THE TRASH DUMPSTER. DO NOT LEAVE ANY TRASH OUTSIDE THE DUMPSTER!!! No large items, i.e. mattresses, computers, furniture, etc. can be left at the dumpster for disposal. There is a recycling Dumpster located on Rockwood Drive for glass, plastic and cardboard. Cardboard must be broken down and placed in the Dumpster. DO NOT throw plastic trash bags in the dumpster.

This is your home and the home of other people. Do NOT discard cigarettes butts, papers, tissues or other trash on the grounds. This detracts from the overall appearance of the community and is offensive to other residents and guests. We are a SMOKE FREE COMMUNITY and smoking indoors or outdoors on our property is prohibited. Tenants are responsible for upkeep of the garden area located immediately outside their door. No offensive decoration are allowed in these areas..
Appliances or vacuums may not be operated prior to 8:00 AM or after 9:30 PM. The noise from the appliances is extremely disturbing to those who live in close proximity to you.
The laundry facilities are available to all residents. Tenants are responsible for cleaning the appliances after each use and correctly disposing of all trash, soap and/or bleach containers, etc. that is generated by Tenant’s laundry. Laundry rooms may only be used between the hours of 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. Tenant agrees to use laundry appliances at their own risk. Landlord is not responsible for any malfunction of the laundry appliances and will not reimburse Tenant for any operating costs.
All stereos, televisions and family “discussions” must be kept to an inaudible level to other residents. Also, remember when windows are open, all sounds carry a good distance.
ROCKWOOD HEIGHTS APARTMENTS does not allow any satellite dishes to be installed on the property at any time.
The parking spaces in front of the buildings are for residents only. Unlicensed and unregistered vehicles may not be stored on the property and will be towed off of the property at the owner’s expense. Please register your vehicle on the "Update Contact Information" link above on this page.
The Rental Office must be notified of all replacement of vehicles—this includes additions or deletions.
Any vehicle without the benefit of a handicap license plate that is parked in a handicap parking space will be towed at the owner’s expense. All vehicles with handicap registration must notify the Rental Office.
Rockwood Heights Apartments provides snow removal of parking lots at your apartment complex. Please notify the office immediately if an area needs attention. Tenant is responsible for snow and ice removal on steps, and stoops surrounding the leased premises. Please remember that it is a challenge to remove all of the snow from the parking spaces. Any help coordinating the moving of cars to provide access for removing the snow is greatly appreciated. We request all vehicles to be moved from the parking lot to allow for plowing after a snow fall has ended.
Please notify the mail carrier if you plan to be away for an extended time (in addition to the Rental Office.) If you receive a daily paper, we suggest that you contact your carrier as well to avoid a buildup of papers while you are away.
The Landlord shall not be responsible for any outside deliveries delivered to or left with any other tenant or left in the mailbox area.
Notify the US Post Office if you misplace or break your mailbox key.
Building 9 and Building 1, Units A, B, C, and D are PET FREE Buildings, both inside and the outside grounds.
Rockwood Heights welcomes Pets with a Non Refundable Pet fee and a monthly pet rent. We allow cats and dogs and accept a maximum of one pet per Unit. They must be registered and licensed with the Boro of Rockaway
Please contact management for verification of approved dog breed allowable in our complex. Fish tanks can only hold a maximum of 20 gallons. All animals must be on leashes in any common area and owner MUST clean up after their pet. Continuous complaints in regards to pet may result in eviction of pet and tenant.
